Submitting to Lichtin

Lichtin is accepting submissions of art, fiction, creative non-fiction, essays, and cultural commentary of a Scottish interest.

We are looking for works with a deep sense of curiosity that engages with Scottish culture in some way.

Submissions for issue 1 of Lichtin magazine close on the 30th of June 2026.

Submission Guidelines

Written works should be a maximum of 2500 words.

Written works should be submitted as a .docx file.

Artworks should be submitted as a pdf or jpeg file.

Please format the title of your submission file as follows: fullname_submissiontype (eg. johnsmith_essay).
